Would like a Cheat Sheet for the Element Graph for Substance Designer users

I think it’d be very useful for users to have access to something akin to a cheatsheet that could let them know the InstaMat equivalent nodes for users that have experience with Substance Designer. This can make things easier for users to find specific nodes that Designer offers in InstaMat, or at least ways to replicate those nodes’ behaviours.

This is also useful because there is a lack of InstaMat Element Graph tutorials compared to how many Substance Designer tutorials there are. And users who use Designer tutorials to recreate materials in InstaMat will have a big help if they have access to a cheatsheet knowing the right names of the nodes. Such a cheatsheet can then be posted and maintained in the documentation and updated from time to time.

If possible, I urge developers to take this into consideration. Thank you.

Hello @ramsharank,

That’s a nice idea, I’ll forward this internally. For now, you can check out the node documentation under InstaMAT Node Reference and Library Documentation - InstaMAT . In the top menu under “Library” you can find all the nodes that are available, including descriptions.

Hope that helps,

Thanks!

Could we add a link to the node’s documentation in its right-click context menu? Many applications do this, and it makes learning much easier.

Welcome to the community @fearlessbutterfly! Thanks for your suggestion, and I’ll pass it along.
