Wintab isn't working for me

LONG STORY SHORT:

I want wintab to work for me. It doesn’t. I’m forced to use Windows Ink which is shit, honestly.

ISSUE TO FIX:

I use a Huion GT 220 V2. Old tablet, sure. They don’t make this anymore.

I’ve had this issue for a while. I have to turn on Windows Ink just to draw on this application.

It doesn’t adopt my huion drivers drawing curve for pressure sensitivity, and sometimes just outright doesn’t work. So I find myself having to CTRL Z A lot more often than I’d like, which causes its own lag and slow down. Not fun.

I am reading on the discord that Instamat supports Wintab. That would be great! Great!! Problem! It doesn’t work for me, in terms of pressure sensitivity. And sometimes, just doesn’t work at all.

Attached, is a small video showing me turning windows ink on and off in the software. I turn on or off windows ink and then try to draw. With windows ink, most times it just kinda works. If I turn off windows ink, for the first time it works, and almost every time after that the canvas just disregards my pen. I can still move the canvas around, but cannot any longer draw on the application. I have to restart Instamat to get the original drawing capability back, but still no pressure sensitivity.

Troubleshooting Steps:

Reinstalling.
Full uninstall and reinstall.
Restart, along with full uninstall and reinstall. (3 separate instances of restarts, restart, restart with reinstall (application reinstall), restart with manual uninstall then reinstall)
Compatibility for windows 8, and 7, as well as admin privileges.
Instamat Update.
GPU Update.

None of which fixed this issue.

Hello @Yiffster,

Thanks for the report. I think there is currently an issue with Huion tablets, we’ll look into it and get back to you as soon as more information is available.

Thanks.
