Solved: Hosed up license activation, Deleted app first then Deactivated, Dead in the water help

I’m not sure how I ended up here. InstMat was installed on my machine and sat unused for a while. When I launched it a few days ago, I got an error saying the license seat isn’t enabled for this machine.

I tried to fix it myself, but I made things worse. I didn’t follow the proper deactivate/uninstall/reinstall steps for IM, and now I’m stuck. I’ve tried everything I can think of, but I can’t get it working.

I emailed tech support and was told the Pioneer License isn’t eligible for support. I’m hoping there’s something you can do to help get me unstuck.

Thank you
PS. It has been well past 24 hours since I deactivated the License.

Hello @geo0301 and welcome to our community!

When you go to the License Management Web App, does it show you an activated seat there? Pioneer licenses are floating, you shouldn’t need to do anything but just open up InstaMAT and, in case the machine is not authorized, authorize it with your credentials.

Maybe you could also check if you have a license file stored on your computer, delete it and try to authorize again. Please see the following article to locate it: How Can I Locate My License File? | InstaMAT Documentation

If those steps do not help, please let me know.

Thanks!

Awesome, glad it worked!
