Texturing baking

Hi im new to texturing in any software. I tried to import an asset I made in blender and it was a total mess after I baked hi poly on top of the low I’m guessing I did something wrong in blender but I’m not sure were I went wrong. I marked seems and uv unwrapped I also triangulated my mesh and applied all modifiers. Does instamat prefere triangulated meshes? also the low poly on its own wouldn’t texture properly. would be good to know were I went wrong

Can you show screenshots of your mesh, your UVs and the bake result please? MAT will triangulate meshes on import, so it doesn’t really matter if you triangulate before in Blender for example.

Thanks for mentioning @glowinglily and welcome as well! Is it possible that your Blender modifiers were not applied before exporting?
